Matt was born and raised in Ortega, graduated from Episcopal High School and attended Hofstra University in New York where he majored in Liberal Arts with a focus in Theater. He began his radio career in high school when he was 16 at WJAX (which later became WAPE). He continued to work in Top 40 radio in Chicago, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, and KCRW (NPR) in Los Angeles. While in L.A., he was acting in T.V. and film, doing stand up, and was the winning bachelor both times he appeared on The Dating Game (so he’s got THAT goin for him).  He returned to Jacksonville in 2000 and what was supposed to be a 3 month visit turned out to be a 10 year stay.  If he's not working or doing laundry, he's with his 5 year old daughter on supercalifragilisticexpialidocious adventures in his tricked out minivan.
